Jawara The Voice Amerika musim pertama, Javier Colon akhirnya akan merilis album terbarunya pasca kemenangangannya di ajang pencarian bakat tersebut. Tentu saja merilis album bukan hal baru bagi Colon karena sebelumnya ia memang telah mengeluarkan beberapa album, meski tak terlalu dikenal luas. Sebagai single pertama, Colon melepas As Long As We Got Love yang menampilkan dirinya berduet dengan Natasha Bedingfield. Vokal Colon memang prima, sehingga tidak mengherankan ia menjadi tandem yang cukup kuat bagi vokal Bedingfield yang khas. Alhasil, single yang dirilis pada tanggal 8 November ini menjadi sebuah lagu pop-soul yang sangat menghentak dengan beat yang intensitasnya terjaga tanpa harus terdengar berlebihan dalam memamerkan kekuatan vokal mereka. Bagi yang sudah kangen dengan suara emas sang diva musik country, Faith Hill, boleh bernafas lega, karena Hill pada tanggal 8 November yang lalu baru saja merilis single terbarunya yang bertajuk Come Home. Memang bukan materi baru karena Come Home yang ditulis oleh Ryan Tedder ini adalah single lama milik Ryan Republic yang terdapat dalam album debut mereka. Sempat juga menampilkan Sarah Bareilles sebagai penyanyinya, kini Come Home ditangan Hill menjadi sebuah anthem country yang emosionil. Hill bernyanyi dengan penuh penghayatan sehingga lagu balada yang memang sudah mempunyai materi yang bagus ini terdengar lebih syahdu lagi oleh Hill. (8/10)

Selain mengisi suara untuk karakter Gloria di film animasi Happy Feet Two, P!nk tentu saja dipilih sebagai pelantun musik tema untuk film tersebut. Maka hadirlah sebuah balada yang berjudul Bridge of Light. Single ini terdengar cukup berbeda dari kebanyakan lagu yang biasa kita dengar dari seorang P!nk yang garang. Kali ini dirinya terdengar lebih lembut dan juga cukup emosionil. Aransemen yang cukup mendayu mendukung pula untuk itu. Namun, sebagaimana kebanyakan lagu tema, Bridge of Light bukan lagu cengeng, namun sebuah anthem motivasional. Kesan megah yang dihadirkan oleh strings section dan choir efektif dalam mengiringi P!nk bernyanyi dalam penuh perasaan. Albumnya akan dirilis pada tanggal 28 November. (8/10)

The Wanted (Alb. Battleground / Island) – Warzone
Pada tanggal 4 November, The Wanted merilis album kedua mereka yang bertajuk Battleground. Namun, mereka justru sudah mempersiapkan single ke empat mereka untuk album tersebut, Warzone, yang akan dirilis pada tanggal 8 Januari 2012. Tampaknya mereka cukup gencar dalam mempromosikan album terbaru mereka ini. Namun tidak heran, karena rasanya The Wanted cukup punya alasan untuk itu, karena Battleground memang memiliki style bermusik yang cukup berbeda dengan album debut mereka. Termasuk Warzone. Sebuah nomor power-pop sebenarnya, namun elemen-elemen dubstep, elecronica dan rock yang terkandung di dalamnya membuat Warzone terdengar sangat unik. Meski mempunyai banyak unsur dalam musiknya, namun berkat adonan yang kalis, Warzone terdengar seperti sebuah pop yang solid dalam menyuarakan kegalauannya. (8/10)
